Checkout, withdrawal and cancellation
Status: 12 September 2026 – draft and technical checklist for legal review
1. Visible before purchase
The checkout must clearly display before ordering:
- the selected plan or credit package and price including VAT or the correct VAT notice;
- payment interval, minimum term and automatic renewal;
- credit amount, credit consumption and [DECISION: validity/expiry];
- cancellation period and method;
- links to terms, privacy notice and withdrawal notice;
- for consumers, the statutory order button showing an unambiguous obligation to pay.
2. Consumer contract and immediate start
If consumers are given access to paid features, a lawyer must separately design the checkout. Simply using a checkbox from another template is not sufficient.
Draft of an express statement, only after legal approval:
I expressly request that confacAI begins providing the service before the withdrawal period expires. I understand that my right of withdrawal expires under the statutory conditions once the service has been fully performed.

3. Cancellation
Creator costs €19.99 per month and Studio costs €39.99 per month. Both monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at the end of the current billing period. Studio at €399 per year, paid annually in advance with a twelve-month term and credits provided monthly, is planned but not yet bookable.

4. Refunds and failed productions
[DECISION, then legal review:]
- Credits consumed due to a technical error by confacAI or a demonstrable provider error are credited automatically or on request.
- There is no refund claim solely because an AI result is subjectively disliked; statutory rights remain unaffected.
- For cancelled productions, the portal shows the status and explains credit handling transparently.
5. Order and contract confirmation
After completion, confacAI sends a storable confirmation containing plan, price, term, cancellation information, terms, privacy notice and withdrawal notice where required.
6. Technical acceptance checklist
- Prices and tax notice match the invoice and payment provider.
- Terms and privacy notice can be opened and downloaded before contract conclusion.
- Required consent is not pre-ticked.
- Order button and confirmation email are tested.
- Cancellation, export, account deletion and token disconnection are tested with a test account.
- Withdrawal, refunds and crediting have a documented support process.
7. Electronic withdrawal function
For covered online consumer contracts, the electronic withdrawal function must be considered separately in addition to the cancellation button.
